In early June, five Plenty crew members traveled to Pine Ridge Reservation South Dakota to complete the volunteers camp kitchen and eating facility started last summer. (See previous article). This time the crew members were Steve Skinner, Kathie Hanson, Louey Kachinsky, Biko Casini and Jeff Becker. It was an excellent crew and we were able to finish just about everything we set out to do. The size of the original kitchen was doubled; a floor was laid in the new section; the new section was screened in, and two screen doors installed. It looks great! The volunteers staying in the camp this summer, as well as local families in the area, will enjoy this new, fly-free kitchen. Our crew certainly looks forward to using it next summer when we travel up there for our next project.

Thank you everyone for your continued support of this worthy project. We’ve traveled to Pine Ridge four times now in the last three summers and our commitment deepens every time we go. Everyone who comes along as crew wants to return.
