Some
of the most incredibly beautiful waterfalls are just a short
hike outside our villages, or even along side the road.
In
summer months the rains come and our rivers become rushing
torrents, with a roar that can be heard in the distance
as you approach.. In drier times the cascades fall in a
pleasant, refreshing shower, tum bling over rocks into pools
perfect for swimming.

Rio Blanca Falls
In the fall as the rains subside this powerful
cascade becomes a favorite jumping spot for local thrill
seekers who leap off the surrounding cliffs into the pool
below.

San Antonio Falls
Another great place to swim or picnic near the village
of San Antonio.

Upper Pueblo Viejo Falls
Only a short ditance from the village, this
falls is a series of tall cascades along the trail that leads
to the forested mountains and Dr. Lau Overlook.
